On August 9, 2009 the Las Pinas Dental Chapter headed by the then president Dr. Florabelle Tan-Frondozo went to Macau for a 3-day visit.I was so excited to join as it was my first, and with a very minimal fare.
So finally, we arrived in Macau at 10:00 pm on a Cebu Pacific flight. I noticed that men in Macau International Airport don't smile they are so serious ans look strict. Maybe it was an order? A very opposite of their Filipino counterpart in NAIA.
Outside the airport, the lady tour guide was waiting, she was smiling while carrying the name of our President, Dr. Belle Tan. She is a petite, jolly and very accommodating. While we were on our way to the hotel, she has started introducing Macau to us. Although, tired and hungry, with what we heard from the tour guide, we were so excited to roam around Macau. So after we alighted our luggage, we looked for a restaurant and we ended up in McDonald's.
On our first morning, we got up early, gathered our things and went down to the dining hall for our breakfast. On our 3-day package we have a free breakfast so we savor every bite. I was just wondering why the employees were not talking in English considering that most of us are foreigners. Again,I can't help but compare them to Filipinos because we really tried to speak English to our visitors.
